Here we go again! A new video is up on our YouTube channel! Now itś the first song from our progressive rock cover CD: THE WHEELS OF HISTORY ROLLS!
A short story about our version and how the project got started: When we, some time in January-February, after recording over 40 songs for our FREEDOM 2-project, decided to put our feet down on that project, we ended it with doing some covers of old rock songs too.
Ever since I heard and saw Hoola Bandoola Band performing this song as a boy in the early 70ś on Swedish Television, I have always liked it and the wonderful political lyrics as well!
Later on, when I occasionally heard it, I thought it would be great in a more heavy rock version and in English and finally we recorded it, almost for fun!
When our great friend and big fan of old Scandinavian progressive rock, Magnus Heidenborn, heard it, he liked our version a lot and then he gave us lots of other examples of songs from that era to record and together with his great help to translate the songs into English, we decided to record a whole album with those kind of songs.
We contacted all writers of the songs and they were all positive to our project and it surely helped too, that we had decided to give all the sale income from the record to Barncancerfonden (Children cancer Funds)!
